Snow Day!
Here in the Seattle area, we don’t typically see much snow in the winter, usually a trace-a couple of inches. Since Sunday we’ve gotten 10+ inches in our neighborhood and they’re calling for more tomorrow (upwards of 6+ inches additional!)
Thankfully I’ve become a stay at home momma and am not required to be anywhere but I HATE the snow with a fiery passion. People in Seattle do NOT know how to drive in the rain let alone the snow!! Part of my issue of hating the snow is THAT people do not know how to drive in the snow. No one understands the concept of maintaining momentum going up a hill or taking it slow and steady going down a hill. It wouldn’t be an issue this time around if my husband didn’t have to go to work. It stresses me out incredibly to think of him driving around with all those crazy people even though we’ve got a 4x4 truck, it doesnt mean he’s invincible. I just need to remember to relax…….easier said then done.
It also doesn’t help my stress level that our family is currently living with my parents due to our house being in the middle of closing and having to sub-lease our rental. And don’t get me wrong, I love my parents but this is driving me fucking crazy! We’ve lived here almost a month and I feel like I’m a prisoner! We have no real space of our own except a bedroom and we are practically living out of our suitcases. This is no way for anyone to live let alone a family with a newborn baby! Hopefully we will close later this week on our house and we can move!
